the southwestern room is located at the southwestern corner of the house, but it is primarily named for the beautiful southwestern university campus located directly across the street. golden walls and black accents are used throughout. the king-size bed with plush pillowtop mattress, loveseat and large antique armoire do not begin to crowd this largest bedroom in the house. the wall behind the bed is curtained for extra quiet, comfort and beauty.

Lincoln
the lincoln room is named for the age and style of its bed. similar to the bed in the famous lincoln bedroom of the white house, this glorious antique bed from the 1860's features two flame ovals of walnut in the headboard and another in the footboard. it has been expertly adapted to accommodate a plush queen-size pillowtop mattress which is dressed with a charming coverlet and an eyelet bedskirt. this antique-filled room also has a marbletop bedside table and a marbletop walnut dresser with mirror.

Librarian's Room
the librarian's room is named with a nod to the adjoining library that is central and focal to the upstairs of san gabriel house. this room has many books not available to the rest of the house. it features a classic federal style queen-size four-poster bed with a pillowtopper, along with two matching nightstands and chest of drawers. with soft green walls and rich fabrics, this room is extremely comfortable. the bathroom was formerly shared with the adjoining southwestern room, but is now a private bathroom for the librarian's room.

French Room
the french room is named for the style of its elegant goldleaf furniture. from the queen-size bed with pillowtop mattress to the cloudlike mirror of the vanity, this very complete set of furniture creates a most pleasant room. the walls and bedding are two shades of blue with tan accents. originally the sleeping porch, this room sits two steps down from the rest of the second floor, and its walls are largely windows (6 in the bedroom and 4 in the bathroom) with excellent garden views.

Bishop Rose
the bishop rose room name is a tribute to john & sue wiley, the originators of san gabriel house b&b. they named each room for a variety of antique rose, but only the bishop rose is now so-named. as one of the largest bedrooms in the house, it features a king-size canopy bed with a plush pillowtop mattress. with a comfortable queen anne chair that reclines and an antique library chair with tapestry upholstery, in-room seating is ample and comfortable.
